SEMINAR SERIES ON THE FUTURE OF SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION
The Center for Studies in Higher Education is pleased to announce a series of seminars during the 2004-05 year on the subject of "The Future of Scholarly Communication."
This series will focus upon the various aspects of scholarly communication that are of major current importance for research universities. Presentations in this series will explore issues such as more effective promulgation of research results, innovative and enhanced uses of information technology, the economics of publishing and the structure of the publishing field, compatibility with constrained library budgets, and the fit between various emerging methods of publication and the value systems of both the academy and academic disciplines.
