For the future: NASA XML project
-
Until recently, NASA had not provided any guidance on the adoption of XML within the Agency despite vigorous activity at individual NASA Centers. However, today external and internal forces are driving a requirement for NASA to accelerate its adoption of XML Agency-wide. The external factors relate to Federal-level changes mandated by the Office of Management and Budget, the President's Management Agenda mandate to better share information among government bodies at all levels, and the increasing use of XML by our partners. Internal factors reflect the need to be more efficient and effective in the way that NASA manages its information.
