I've been running two public blogs (HypotyposisBlog and IuTechnologyArchitectureLodge) and this wiki for a little while yet. One issue that I need to deal with is my policy concerning comments and writings from others on my site. In general, I welcome the contributions of others. That's why I have commenting turned on my blogs and why I'm running a wiki at all (which is editable by anyone).

Nonetheless, I reserve the right to change anything I have on my websites without having to justify the actions that I take. These actions include:

That said, I want to treat the input of my reader and writers with great respect (which I hope that I have demonstrated). I will not intentionally misrepresent what others write. And I have no immediate plans to take any of the actions I listed above. But I will feel free to do so should the occasion arise.

For comparison, MarkPilgrim's [WWW]policy on comments on his site is a policy that I'm very sympathetic with when thinking about my own site.
