Let me see... who am I? (Or maybe, the operative question should be: who am I to R. Yee? ::chuckle::) I would speculate thusly: I am a former colleague of Raymond's at the UC Berkeley Academic Talent Development Program, a summer program for smart, motivated h.s. students where he has taught in the past. As it happens, I am still a current colleague of Raymond's at UC Berkeley in general.
Well. That was a rather dry recitation. One might otherwise wonder what, exactly, am I radical about... and what is free about it? I'm never quite sure about this from day to day, actually. But I think the bottom line is that I like to think that I live outside of normal conventions. That is, I have chosen a lifestyle whose footprint is as small as possible... living lightly on the land (and on the ocean), and being a good steward of it, and of human community.
Well. That was a bit ponderous, wasn't it. ;p
At any rate, one may glean a sense of who I am from reading my weblog. Each daily entry (and yes, I 've been writing daily for the past four years now, though from time to time I get students to flip my weblog when I'm away from civilization) yields a pixel that contributes to the larger picture as a whole.
