n January 2004 Jeremy Frumkin, a metadata systems librarian, became the first person to hold the Gray Chair for Innovative Library Services in the Valley Library at Oregon State University. He brings significant leadership experience in digital library services to the position, and will head the Valley Library’s digital library efforts. Frumkin believes that a successful, sustainable digital library effort depends on the collaboration and involvement of the entire campus community, and is actively building inter-disciplinary relationships that support that effort at OSU. He values the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction OSU takes in regard to building out its digital library.
