Welcome to the homepage of project Discovery+: Brokerage for Deep and Distributed e-Learning Resources Discovery. The project is funded under the JISC e-Learning Programme, Technical Framework and Tools Strand's first call for technical development projects.

The E-Learning Framework - d+ SRU services:

Search and Retrieve URL, SRU, is a protocol for federated searching of multiple bibliographic repositories. The d+ project is piloting web services and toolkit capable of searching various library and resource gateways and transforming the search results to reusable and standardised schemas for e-learning purposes. The output schemas being evaluated are SRU, Learning Object Metadata (LOM), IMS Content Packaging and Resource Lists Specifications.
